The first love.
Hmm. This is kind of a touchy subject. Not because it ended badly or anything, but because I'm not quite sure who it was? Wow. That sounds extremely skanky. Let me put it this way. My first "love" was my best best friend. So even though I did love him, I am not quite sure you can say it is the kind of love that every girl wants in this life. They say that the best relationships always come out of a great friendship. And I truly truly believe that. It's just that.. I was so young when all of this went down. So I don't think it necessarily counts as a first love. I will admit though, I had a crush on my best friend from pre-school, all the way until freshman year. Then things went down hill. He made some choices and hung around kids that I didn't want to be associated with. I tried being there for him, but he just made it so hard because I have always had my mind set on not ever putting myself in the situations that he was in. So I finally just... stopped. I didn't talk to him, I didn't see him, I just kind of gave up on him. Now of course, I had boyfriends and other crushes besides him throughout my entire pre-teen/teenage years, but he was always kind of the main focus. The one I would drop everything for. The one I trusted more then any other guy. And I struggled really bad letting him go. I still do. And I want to say that he was my first love, because I did love him. A lot. I just can't be sure that it was a "love love". It went on for so long, that I believe it was real, but we were both just so young that I don't think we were mature enough to feel those feelings for each other. Which leads me to where I am now. I am, in fact, one hundred percent sure that I love Austin. No doubt about it. But I am not quite sure he is my first love. But it is real, no question. So I'll leave this one up to you. Who was the first? Your call(:

Day 9.
How do I picture my future being? umm... let's just say, I have not a clue. I have been thinking about college a whole lot lately. Not something I am totally looking forward too. Honestly, I don't even really want to go to college. But it is expected of me. The only problem is, I don't even know what college I want to go to. And truth is, I don't really care. All I know is.. I want to be a psychologist. The kind who work with screwed up teenagers. (But that also changes on a daily basis.) But going to school to be a psychologist probably takes a long time too. Of course. So some other options:
-A writer. I love writing. Surprise, surprise right? But I don't want to be a journalist. Or anything along those lines, for that matter. So unless I right some award winning novel, then I don't see that being part of my future.
-A singer. I know, I know, I need to be realistic. But truth is, I am. Singing is one of those things that I absolutely cannot live without. It's my whole form of expressing myself. And I don't want to sound cocky or anything, but I honestly think I am good enough to make a living off of it. Just an option.
So as for the whole "school after school" ordeal, that is still a wide open field of decisions that is yet to be made. But here is how I would LOVE for my future to turn out:
Spend the rest of my high school years just living it up. This is the time when I can just be crazy and not have a single care in the world. I wish it would never end, but I know it will. So I might as well make the best of it while i can. Graduate. Obviously. Move into a little apartment with a whole lot of friends. Take a year and just travel. I want to explore the world. As cheesy as that sounds, it's true. Get a job at a Juvenile Delinquent center. Help the kids find their way back to a healthy life. Get married. Preferably at a younger age. I can't wait to be able to come home after a long days work, and just cuddle up next to my husband(: haa. Have kids. Lots of them. At least seven. Watch them all grow up, trying hard to be the best parent a girl could be. After they all move out, spend time getting closer to my husband. Then watch my kids have some kids of their own. Get as close as possible to my grandchildren. Be a hardworking older woman, in a big house, with nice cars. Quite the dream life, right?
Anyways. It's way to much to think about for now. I can't promise I ever will have a set plan. But being spontaneous and indecisive are two of my greatest qualities, right?

Day 8.
Well since I currently feel close to many people, I feel totally and completely obligated to post numerous pictures. I know, I know, that's breaking the rules. But I am a super rebel. But you already knew that right? (;
Austin Tidwell.
I feel as if I have expressed how I feel about him enough, and that you all get the idea(: I love him. End of story.
I can't thank any of these people enough. They have greatly impacted my life, and just the fact that they took a step into it was a major blessing on its own. Thank you all(:

Tawneelyn Jordan.
This girl has been with me through all of my ups and downs. We fight like sisters, but I know she has always got my back.
Alison Hegerhorst.
Been best friends since fifth grade. Don't know what I would do without this girl. She keeps me thinking straight, and is always there when I need someone to talk to.
The Entire American Fork Drill Team. (Coaches Included.)
An entire family outside of my own. 'Nuff said.

Day 7.
The zodiac sign.
ummm... completely dead on. That's all I have to say. It's actually kind of a little creepy.
LEO.
Description:
Love triumphs over all for this sign, which is ruled by the heart and operates from this dimension too. Leo's are born fortunate. Charismatic and positive-thinking they attract not only an abundance of friends and opportunities, but manage to survive life's stormy times with style and good humour.
Once a Lion is committed to a relationship, they are totally devoted and faithful. Should their heart or trust be broken they never forgive or forget. When a relationship breaks down (even a long standing one) they can disappear into the sunset without a backward look. Leos can cut ties, and leave others heartbroken, but usually there is a good reason why they have broken a tryst. For a Leo, when a relationship is over, really over, it is over for good.
There are three levels of soul-evolution of the Leos. The highest is represented by the Sphinx; wise beyond their years and great teachers to others. The second is the Lion, King of the Jungle, ruled by ego but always protective and sustaining of those they love. The last is the Lion Cub, immature and undeveloped, frightened by anything new. These Leos cling to others (in the mode of the child not wanting to leave its mother's side).) They can't bear to be alone.
No matter what level they have attained, all Leos are trendsetters, leaders and adventurers. Their weakness is their pride. This is one sign where the saying "flattery will get you everything" applies, but be warned criticism will slam the relationship door right in your face.

Day 5. Scratch that. Day 6.
So day five asks for a baby picture. Well here is a story: I was deprived as a child, and there was never a baby picture taken of me. Just kidding. I was born in the 90's, when there was hardly any cool ways to upload pictures to your computer like there is now. So I currently have no baby pictures on my computer. And until I figure out how to do that with an already developed photo, day five shall remain skipped. I was not deprived as a child. I promise. My mom loves me. Or at least that is what she says.
Anyways. 30 interesting facts about yourself. Here we go.
1. I have never broken a bone. Probably not the greatest accomplishment, but after doing cheer for five years, dancing for thirteen years, and wake boarding for thirteen, I would say that is pretty neat.
2. I am the oldest of three children. I know that's not that interesting, but I don't care.
3. I was raised in Lehi for the first little bit of my life, but I hate country music. Ironic right?
4. I got a job when I was thirteen years old at the Sno Shack in AF. Got a weekly paycheck and everything.
5. I have a ridiculous obsession with alternative rock music. Skater punk, I know.
6. I am a very big brat. I am aware, so I don't need to be told. But thank you for your concern.
7. I am extremely blunt. If I don't like you, I will tell you straight up. If you are doing something that is bugging me, I will tell you to knock it off. I don't take crap. It's just the way I am(:
8. I started singing before I could talk. Music is my everything, and if I didn't have the opportunities to perform, I would absolutely go insane.
9. My mom is one of my best friends. Unlike other teenage girls, I tell her everything. She probably knows more about what goes on in my life than my best friend does.
10. I am a very forgiving person, and I get over things easily. I don't usually hold grudges, unless you did something to really truly piss me off, or unless I just don't care for you enough to get over stupid fights.
11. I trust very many people, and that has not blown up in my face, like most people say it does.
12. Drugs are an absolute no way for me. I have my standards, and I refuse to every touch the stuff.
13. I have something that lots of teenage girls don't: a team. I can't tell these girls enough how much they mean to me. Instead of having one or two best friends to survive high school with, I have fourteen sisters.
14. Super confession: I love drama. Let's be honest here. Every single teenager will tell you how bad they hate drama, but yet, they still go around starting it, and the reason is because deep down, everybody likes a little drama in their life. I am not saying I go around picking fights with everybody, but I think it's hilarious when people fight over really stupid stuff. ha(:
15. At fifteen years old, I have already found the guy I want to spend forever with. I know that sounds silly and cliche, but it is very true.
16. I have been to L.A. and sang (is that a word? obviously I learned how to talk by a bunch local lehians.) for thousands of people, including many recording artists and talent scouts. Just thought I would throw this little fact out there. You don't have to believe me, but I am being honest.
17. I curse. A lot more then I should.
18. I want to live in Lake Powell for a year.
19. I love four wheeling more than anything else in this world.
20. I want to be a psychologist.
21. I am not judgemental. At all. I hate people who are. The way I see it is, if you have never walked a day in someone's shoes, then you have no right to judge their life the way they live it.
22. I analyze things in my life way more than I should.
23. I am very mature for my age. I know, I know, that is hard to believe, but I am fifteen years old and I hang out with a bunch of 17 and 18 year olds. I have always gotten along better with the older crowd.
24. I get random laugh attacks. If you didn't know me... wait. Let's be honest. Even the people that do know me think I might be totally smashed when I get to this point.
25. I lack in common sense. If you know well, or even at all, then you already knew this. I am really smart when it comes to school, but ask me who our first president was, and I will become dumb-struck.
26. I want a huge family. Kids drive me crazy sometimes, but I have always wanted like... eight or nine kids. Call me crazy, but it's true.
27. I believe in the Gospel, but I still have many questions that are yet to be answered.
28. I don't really know where I am headed in life, but that is A-OK with me. Spontaneousism (another made up word) has always been one of my strongest qualities.
29. I like being the youngest in my grade, until it comes to driving.
30. I am extremely happy. I never take my life for granted and I make the best of everything that is put on my plate. I try to never feel sorry for myself because I know that about 99% of the earth's population has a harder life than I do. I realize who my true friends are, and I try to always put the ones I trust first. I believe that God doesn't give you more than you can handle, and that everything happens for a reason. I know I always say I miss the way things used to be, and I sometimes wish that things would go back to the way they were, but truth is, everything that I have gone through has only made me more of the person that I am today. And I am totally and completely content with that.

Day 4.
Talk about your pets.
If you know me well, then you know I currently have a black yorki-shitzu mix. His name is Gizmo.
and I hate him.
If you know dogs, then obviously you know he is adorable just by the type of dog he is. But thats just the thing. It's not the cuteness that I hate; It's his dumb dog qualities. He is such a dog. Pees on everything, chews up everything, and he is just stupid. For some strange reason that is yet to be discovered, my brother and sister think he is a person and like to take him everywhere we go. Even when we take a family trip to the gas station. Ridiculous right? But don't worry. I am trying to talk my mom into getting rid of him, but she says absolutely not. Just like Gizmo, I think she is stupid, too.
But I used to have two dogs. Got them both when I was a baby, and pretty much grew up with them. A black and white german husky, and a golden retriever. Best dogs a girl could ask for. Now obviously, judging by my taste in dogs, I am not your typical girl who likes the little puppies that you can dress up and take everywhere with you. I am the type of girl that likes the big dogs that you can wrestle with and play catch with. The kind that are completely loyal to you til the day they die. Those were the kinds of dogs that Jake and Nobe (pronounced No-bee) were. They died within the same week of each other. I think it's because they loved each other like brother and sister. Now don't think I am crazy because I have proof.
Caution: sad story ahead. If you are emotional, or you just love dogs, fast forward.
About two years ago, Jake got very sick. So sick, that my brother would have to get up with him every night in the middle of then night just to give him his medicine. But one night, his weaklittle huge body just couldn't take it anymore, and he passed away. We had a trip to Lake Powell planned three days after this happened. Because we had already payed for the houseboat, we decided we would still go and hope to get our minds of Jake's death. A couple days after arriving in Lake Powell, we got a call from our neighbor that we had asked to watch Nobe for us. She informed us that Nobe, too, had passed away. But get this: Nobe had hung herself. Don't ask me how, but somehow she had managed to get out, wrap her leash around the fence, and jump over the fence. Brother sister love can go a lot farther than you thought. R.I.P. my wonderful dogs.

Day 1.
Current Relationship Status.
Very much taken. I don't want to sit and rant and rave about that lovely boyfriend of mine because, well, it would just take up far to much time. So instead i'll just list some things I love about him(:
I Love:
1. How kind you are to everyone. I honestly don't think you have a rude bone in your body.
2. How respectful you are to your parents. You can tell you were raised well, and I love that.
3. Your dimples. So cute(:
4. How smart you are. Hardly ever short of a 4.0. Although I am jealous, you make me proud to call you my boyfriend.
5. Your family. I love them all.
6. The way you always worry about the way I feel.
7. The way you don't let anything affect you. The worst thing could happen to you, and no one would even know because you never stop smiling.
8. That you never stop smiling.
9. Your smile.
10. When you laugh really hard and your voice gets all high(:
11. When you try to play a joke on me but it never works because I always know when your lying because you show your dimples.
12. How well you get along with my family.
13. That you never offer me soda because you know I can't have it.
14. That you always tell me "today is your day." Even though I say I hate that(:
15. How you can come up with a completely random story right off the top your head just to make me laugh.
16. How you can make me laugh so easily(:
17. That whenever we start to argue a teeny tiny bit, you always just agree with me and change the subject because you don't want it to turn into a fight.
18. That you play baseball. I would love you even if you didn't but lets face it; you had my heart when you mentioned that(:
19. The way you don't care about what anyone thinks of you.
20. When you give me little gifts that are specifically for me, because you know me far to well.
21. When you hug me from behind and whisper in my ear.
22. How you always offer to give me a ride home from school, even if your not going home yourself.

24. That you always insist on paying for me, because your a gentlemen.
25. That you always open the car door, because your a gentlemen.
26. That you always walk me to my doorstep, because your a gentelmen.
27. That you are such a gentlemen.

The Professional PDA-ers.
An absolute pet peeve of mine:
PDA (Public Display of Affection)
Let's be honest here. Who really likes it? I can't stand walking down the halls at school, and almost getting caught in a game of kissing tag every time I turn a corner. It's disgusting. I mean maybe, and I use this word loosely, a little peck here or there is acceptable. But even that is pushing it. Really though. Are you really so deprived of feeling loved that you have to lower yourself to sucking your boyfriends face off in the school hallway? Let's get real. No one, and I mean NO ONE needs to kiss someone that badly. It's just not needed. I find it really funny that all the Professional PDA-ers are all from the same clique. (And I think we all know EXACTLY what clique I am talking about.) Obviously there is something wrong here. Either chill on the whole so-called "love on your boyfriend" stuff, or get a room. It makes you look bad, It makes everyone feel uncomfortable, and It's just plain nasty. So stop. kaythanks(:
ON ANOTHER NOTE.
today: was a good day. Not a phenomenal day, but it was a good day. got a lot done at drill, learned about sex in health, (which was NOT one of the brighter parts of my day), got to hear about how my seminary teacher was arrested on his mission for possession of an illegal weapon, (MOST DEFINITELY a brighter part of my day), more drill at lunch, and finished it off with a nice french class, (which, by the way, I found out I aced my final exam in). Just need to finish the loads of homework I have to do tonight, another three hour drill practice, and then its off to bed for Kalen. All in all, I'd say it was a very successful day(:

The First.
I often view blogs as just another way to whine. Just a stupid "feel bad for yourself and vent to a non-living blog" sorta deal. But since blogs are the new thing, (obviously,) I have kept up with a lot of the friends. And truth is, they are a whole lot of fun(: So instead of using a post to complain about what a horrible life I have, (which I absolutely DO NOT,) I'm going to dedicate this first post to my wonderful life, my wonderful friends, and well just... the basics.
First things first: Yours Truly
The name is Kalen. Call me Kay, Kalen, Rass, That Girl, whatever really floats your boat. I believe in the impossible. I dream. I wish. And I hope. And I feel like thats 100% okay because, without hopes and dreams, you have nothing to work towards in life. I am very blonde. If you know me well, or even at all, then you probably already knew that. Music makes my world go round. I am a dancer and a singer, and without music, life would have absolutely no point. I don't take crap from anyone. I hate when people are judgmental, and I hate when people are hypocritical. I call it how it is, so if you don't want the truth told to you, then you probably should avoid me. just saying(: I am on my high school drill team, and I love every second of it. I push myself beyond my capacity, because I hate failure. Got any questions, just ask. (:
Second: The Friends and Family
I have the most amazing support group. My family is one of the best out there. I can honestly say, we have hardly any problems. I mean, obviously my family has issues, but none of the normal kinds. My parents are still together, I get along with my siblings, usually, and no one is completely screwed up. Well... yet, that is. My mom is one of the most amazing people I know. She has been through a lot, and still has some of the strongest morals. I talk to her about anything and everything, and even though we are complete opposites, I can honestly say she is my best friend. Now my dad, is a different story. You see, my father and I, well we might as well be the same person. That's how much alike we are. Even though I never have "heart to heart" talks with my dad, I still feel like I am closer to him the most teenage girls. And I feel lucky to have that. The little brother. Another really close friend of mine. All around stud. As much as I hate to admit it, it's true. Has a different girlfriend everyday. And why shouldn't he? That's what Jr. High is all about, right? The little sister. As much as I pick on her, I still love her to death. She is super fun, and not one of the superficial girls that absolutely can't stand. Very mature for and eleven year old, and I like that about her. I can't go into details about the extended family, because quite honestly, there isn't enough time in the world. Same goes for my friends. I have so many good friends, that I can't pin point all the reasons that I love each and every one of them. So don't get your feelings hurt if your not mentioned. Tawnee Jordan. Alison Hegerhorst. Dylan Pendleton. Mitchell Jeppson. Tanner Willes. Connor Hardy. Hayley Berg. (and of course their adorable Emery.) The whole drill team: Kilee Casey, Brinley McAfee, Breanne Baugh, Rebecca Grimes, Laurel Riggs, Mady Bowden, Brianna Palmer, Hailey Wright, Melanie Stucki, Alexa Tall, Caitlyn Thorpe, Chloe Gilmour, Stephanie Gladwin. I love and trust every one of these people. And many, many more.
Third: The Boyfriend
Call me cheesy, but I feel as if this subject deserved it's own section. I can honestly say, I have the best boyfriend. Not just saying that to kiss his butt(: I love him with everything in me. And it's not like the stupid Jr. High kinda love that everyone can get at the snap of their fingers. It's the kind of love that every girl dreams of. The kind you see in movies. The love that makes you want to just sit and talk for hours on end about anything and everything, rather than making out and moving on. The kind of love that makes you want to do cute little things for each other. Things that are meaningless to others, but can turn your whole day around. He is the kind of guy that gives you hugs from behind. He always surprises me with cute little things that he knows I love. He is the kind of guy that calls me beautiful instead of sexy. He is the kind of guy that gives me little kisses, even when is just walking past to get to his fridge(: He never starts little arguments, and if I do, then he just agrees with me and tells me I'm right. He gets along with my family, and I get along with his. He is one of the smartest people I know, and he is actually going somewhere with his life. He isn't afraid to stand out. In seven days, it will be four months together, and I don't ever want it to end. I love you(:
This is me, and I love everything about my life. Take it or leave it.
